Dr Herbert C. Becker received his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle following his bachelors degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia following his internship at Virgina Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Becker’s dual sub-specialty fellowship training began with a Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship followed by a Retina Fellowship from the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
Dr. Becker brought his expertise to Wohl Eye Center in April of 2005 providing sub-specialty care in Retina and Vitreous diseases and Pediatric and Adult Strabismus. |
His volunteer activities include Big Brothers of America, Habitat for Humanity and Operation Smile. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Lions Club, Rotary International and Chicago Opthalmological Society. Dr Becker and his family reside in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and his personal interests include sports, travel and golf.
